Нагадаю, у день виборів Президента Білорусі затримали близько 600 людей. Вони намагалися влаштувати несанкціонований мітинг у столиці. Більшість з них засудили до адміністративних арештів. Звільнити усіх затриманих після акцій протесту закликають білоруську владу Євросоюз та США. Про це йдеться у спільній заяві держсекретаря Сполучених штатів Гіларі Клінтон та верховного представника ЄС із зовнішньої політики та безпеки Кетрін Ештон. 

Олександр Суріков, посол Росії в Мінську: "We've waited for more than 70 percent of the votes, a long way. So, that's the way it went. We understood everything from the very beginning - the results of the elections. And from the very beginning it was absolutely understandable to the opposition candidates. But from the very beginning".  

Андрій Савіних, речник міністерства закордонних справ Білорусії: "Their cases will be considered in the court according to usual procedures. I want to say that, as they are foreign citizens, the Belarus consulate gave the Russian consulate service information about the number and location of these (arrested) citizens".
